Climate Change: Is Global Warming Real?
Is global warming real? A lot of experts believe the global warming is real and that the Earth is heating up. According to reports, the temperature of the earth has been gradually increasing the beginning of the industrial revolution. Experts believe that the cause of the gradual heating of the Earth’s surface is due to the increase of the greenhouse gases in the planet. Although greenhouse gases are important to keep Earth warm, activities of human beings increased the production of greenhouse gases thus causing an imbalance in the Earth’s atmosphere.
The Greenhouse Effect
The increase in the greenhouse gases in the Earth’s atmosphere causes earth to heat up. For the last 140 years, the temperature of the surface of the Earth increased by 1 degree Fahrenheit. For most people, this increase does not really sound much at all and they keep asking is global warming real or are we just overreacting? A lot of experts are convinced that global warming is real and the effects of global warming can already be felt in the more violence weathers that we have lately.
According to experts, the earth’s atmosphere trapped gases such as methane from pollution, carbon dioxide and water vapor. The trapped gases in the atmosphere allow solar radiation to pass through it but prevent the solar radiation from escaping back into space. As a more solar radiation is trapped on Earth, heating of the surface of the Earth becomes inevitable.
Is global warming real? Yes of course it is real. There is really no question as to the fact that the earth’s atmosphere is heating up. The fact that the increase in the earth’s surface is only 1 degree Fahrenheit is something that must never be ignored or taken for granted. Note that the slightest increase in the temperature in the earth’s atmosphere already has some severe negative effects on the biodiversity of the planet.
According to studies, global warming is one of the primary reasons why corals are dying in some areas. The death of corals in some areas of the planet causes an imbalance in the environment and triggers a domino effect. Note that when corals die, the aquatic habitat is affected and our aquatic resources become depleted.
Aside from killing corals, global warming can cause the extinction of some forms of life in the planet. Studies show that there are certain types of plants and organisms that are very sensitive to heat that the slightest change in the temperature of the earth could them to die. If global warming is not arrested, there is a big possibility that life on earth would be altered and many types of species will vanish in the next several years.

Understanding the Proof of Global Warming
Global warming is a term which is used to refer to the increase in the average temperature of the Earth’s surface, and it is an issue which has come into great debate and controversy, especially over recent years in particular. Although there are of course those critics who believe that the entire global warming concept is in fact a fraud, there is still the proof of global warming that remains, and of which is incredibly important to recognize and take into consideration in order to have an informed understanding of the matter overall.
The Various Proof of Global Warming
Over the years scientists have used many different means and methods in order to come up with proof of global warming, and in particular, powerful evidence for global warming was discovered by scientists funded by the United States’ government in the year 2004, as a new analysis of satellite data actually revealed that temperature in a critical part of the atmosphere are rising much faster than previously thought, thus resulting in strengthening the scientific consensus that the world is warming at an unnatural rate.
Basically, while it is generally accepted that surface temperatures of the Earth are increasing by an average of 0.17C per decade, satellites have been unable to detect a parallel trend in the troposphere, which is the lowest level of the atmosphere, extending 7.5 miles above the ground, in which most weather occurs.
More Proof of Global Warming
There are even more instances of proof of global warming, including a new report that was completed recently, which was based on an analysis of infrared long-wave radiation data from two different space missions. The unique satellite spectrometer data that was collected 27 years apart shows for the first time that real spectral differences have been observed, and that they can be attributed to changes in greenhouse gases over a long time period.
The Premise of Global Warming
Basically, as the sun’s radiation hits the Earth’s surface, it is reemitted as infrared radiation, and then this radiation is then partly trapped by the so-called greenhouse gases, which are: carbon dioxide, methane, and chlorofluorocarbons, as well as water vapor. Satellites are able to measure changes in the infrared radiation spectrum, and this ends up resulting in allowing scientists to be able to detect changes in the Earth’s natural greenhouse effect and also to be able to deduce which greenhouse gas concentrations have changed in general.

Global warming facts Serve As A Timely Reminder That Immediate Remedial Action Must Be Taken
The more knowledge we wish to acquire about why the world’s temperature and climate is changing, the greater is the need to understand global warming facts. These global warming facts are leading to much controversy and are very important to us if we want to save our planet from the consequences of global warming. There is a greater need to investigate further since what we know about global warming today is indeed quite limited.
Huge Sections Of Arctic Ice Are Melting
It is seen that from studying global warming facts today, that there is an increase in temperatures that is seriously impacting the colder areas of the world such as the Arctic region, where ice from this part of the world that keeps our planet cool and which serves to act as our very own natural air conditioner is slowly melting away. It is these huge sections of sea ice that are rotated constantly and they give off cooling winds that come down to the lower regions on the earth and make our lives more bearable.
With ice packs melting due to global warming, the ability for it to cool our planet is diminished, which causes temperatures to raise more. This is an important global warming fact as it shows that ice is now melting and turning into water. In fact, according to these global warming facts it has been found that Arctic ice pack has gone down by almost nine percent each decade, since it is believed, the year 1978. With this trend continuing unabated, it is feared that at the turn of the century we will no longer have any Arctic ice.
Such frightening global warming facts should serve as a timely warning that we should consider how we emit gases and control our industrial production methods so that we can make the world safer as well as eco-friendly at the same time. The effect on animals such as the Polar Bear and others will be absolutely severe and most undesirable.
Laudable as the efforts of our scientists to constantly endeavor to unearth new global warming facts today are, there is need for concerted and immediate action to reverse these harmful effects; otherwise it may become too late not only for humans, but also for the animal world. There is need to educate humanity by disseminating global warming facts to everyone so that it enables us humans to act more responsibly and help prevent the life-threatening effects that can destroy our planet, and change the way we live.

The Facts About Global Warming
There are many facts about global warming which are discussed and debated among the “experts”. Most scientists can agree on general evidence supporting the basic facts about global warming, but as some argue that these changes have come about due human causes, some argue that this is a natural course of the earth’s evolution.
Some Basic Evidence
There are some facts about global warming that can be measured. This evidence includes the fact that the level of carbon dioxide and methane in the earth’s atmosphere has increased to the highest point in six hundred fifty thousand years. Another fact about global warming is the increased rate of glaciers and sea ice melting. Warming that is bleaching coral is causing destruction of our oceans and tropical diseases are spreading at faster rates.
Greenhouse Gases
Among the facts about global warming is the cause of the warming. Greenhouse gases cover the atmosphere and trap the sun’s heat. Carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide are emissions that cause greenhouse gases. Burning fossil fuels is a fact about global warming that is the cause of most carbon dioxide emissions. We burn fossil fuels when we drive our cars and generate electricity in power plants. Reducing these emissions is the most important reason everyone needs to know the facts about global warming.
Research And Education
Everyone should research and the facts about global warming for themselves. Use the Internet for research and try to start conversations at home and at work. The more we are all aware of the facts about global warming the better prepared we can be to make better choices for our energy needs.
We Can All Help
We can all help reduced the pollutants released everyday by changing our transportation choices, changing our light bulbs, use renewable energy sources and conserving paper products.
Automobiles cause twenty percent of United States carbon dioxide emissions. The United States is the world’s larges consumer of oil. We could reduce our dependence on oil by carpooling, using public transportation, building bike paths and just driving less.
Using alternate renewable sources of energy would reduce the need for traditional coal burning power plants. Renewable sources of energy include wind and solar power. After converting this power to electricity it could then be used to power our transportation, such as cars and buses, also.
Another thing we can all do is vote for government representatives who will promote clean renewable energy alternatives.

Evidence Of Global Warming Causes Alarm
There is evidence of global warming around the world, and this evidence of global warming makes many people worry about the future. This important subject is debated and discussed more and more by everyone . Some of the discussion on the evidence of global warming takes place in casual conversation around dinner tables, while other discussions about the evidence of global warming take place in formal conferences with delegates from many different places around the world or on radio and television programs.
The Evidence
Evidence of global warming comes from historical records of weather patterns from around the world. There is some evidence that the current temperatures are the highest in four hundred years. The evidence of global warming as indicated by the rise in temperatures has increased the interest in global warming and the steps necessary to reverse the bad effects of global warming.
Some of the evidence of global warming is startling. Most people have seen the dramatic pictures of the glaciers in Alaska. And the melting of glaciers and sea ice is increasing every day. As the melting increases, the warming of the oceans is causing coral bleaching and deterioration. Tropical diseases are spreading at increased rates also.
Scientists continue to look at the evidence that is available about global warming. These knowledgeable people have looked at the core atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide. The data that the scientists have collected shows the highest levels of carbon dioxide and methane in six hundred fifty thousand years
What Can We Do?
It is a fact that the United Sates is the largest consumer of oil in the world. Twenty percent of United States emissions come from automobiles. Ninety three percent of power plants in the United States burn coal to produce electricity.
Everyone can make changes in their lives each day to decrease their usage of “dirty” energy. Carpooling, taking the bus , working from home and driving fuel-efficient cars is ways to cut carbon dioxide emissions. Using compact fluorescent light bulbs, home insulation and using alternative energy sources, such as wind or sun, can reduce the need to produce electricity utilizing coal burning power plants.
Just as importantly, we need to elect government representatives that will work to lead the way in greenhouse gas emission reduction and eventual elimination. The evidence of global warming is overwhelming and we can only hope we still have enough time to save our planet.
